Spanish actress and dancer Mónica Cruz, best known as Penélope Cruzs sister, is planning to shoot a movie, "Flamenco in Bollywood" in Bombay after the monsoon season.
News of the Spanish romantic comedy first made headlines early last year, but work on the movie has been delayed due to productions problems, but should receive underway some time in November.
"Flamenco in Bollywood" is the narrative of a flamenco dancer, played by Cruz, who falls in love with India's largest Bollywood movie star, played by Nakuul Mehta.
The Spanish movie that will be shot in Bombay and Valencia, features Nakuuls character speaking entirely in English. notwithstanding, it has been reported that the actor has been busy learning the basics of Spanish language lately.
A number of newspapers in India have been speculating over the past few months in the region the possibility of Mónica Cruz learning some hindi in preparation for her role and as a way of familiarising herself with the country.
The movie is being directed by Spanish-Indian director Onil Ganguly Almenar, who is looking forward to a project he describes as "no problem" for him because his mother is Valencian and he is an Indian citizen.
